Multitasking, A New Found Skill, Responses to Nesh’s Instagram Blog Breakdowns Speaking of my Hijrah; Photos of Stops Along my Hijrah Journey; Look Also in Alexis McBride’s YouTube

I am now experiencing something I have never been able to do before. Nesh did mention it in a recent email. To quote him: “I completely understand what you mean about juggling several topics at once, it’s honestly one of your strengths. The way you’ve been able to explore different ideas while still tying them back into your broader mission is something that keeps your content dynamic and authentic.”

The reason I am able to do it now is because I have support, from many sources actually. It gives me peace of mind which enables me to multitask. OF COURSE, Artificial Intelligence has something to say about it.

“Multitasking at its finest” is a phrase used to humorously describe performing multiple tasks at once, often to an impressive or overwhelming degree. It’s frequently used in social media posts to showcase a situation like working while traveling, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, or juggling a demanding project with daily life. While the phrase is used colloquially to describe this, some research indicates that true multitasking can decrease effectiveness, and it’s often a series of rapid task-switching rather than a simultaneous focus on all tasks.”

Now what does that mean?? ? A series of rapid task-switching rather than a simultaneous focus on all tasks? Artificial Intelligence can, upon occasion, not be helpful. Talk about multitasking, that is Artificial Intelligence’s fate in life. Hahahaha

Here are some quotes about multitasking.

“To do two things at once is to do neither.” – Publius Syrus

“Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work in hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.” – Alexander Graham Bell

And this one.

“Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.” – Warren Buffet

Then this from an unlikely source, as it seems she has everything all at once.

“You can have it all. Just not all at once.” – Oprah Winfrey

But I am getting off topic. The topic is going to be my fifth birthday, which was yesterday. What you say?  I became a Muslim five years ago yesterday. I was not sure how I should spend the day. Allah showed me the way. I was able to spend part of the day with Emma and other Muslims. It was joyous. I am not able to see them every day, for completed reasons. So it was such a joy. If I saw them every day I would not appreciate them as much as I did yesterday.

The last few blogs have been faith-filled, speaking my Hijrah. Nesh supplied his blog breakdowns on Instagram. I respond to his blog breakdowns, learning more from his words. It is a fascinating process, suggested by Nesh.  The remainder of the blog will be my responses to two of his breakdowns.

Response to When Loneliness Explains Everything

We had WhatsApp text conversations which I will repeat.

Me: I laughed out loud when I saw the featured photo. Me in my stupid Christmas sweater on my Xmas decorated patio. I do disagree with something you said in your breakdown. The cruelty I suffered was not cultural – it was envy. Envy so destructive, making this Quranic prayer necessary: I take refuge in you Allah from the evil of enviers when they envy. Envy so toxic and destructive.

Nesh: Oh my almighty. Shall I change it and repost it? Or an amendment to a caption..

Me: You did an excellent job in your breakdown with such a serious and scientific topic. I do not think change and repost. I will speak of it in my response. It WAS cultural factors that led to the envy. When one is grateful for what they have, for what Allah has given them, there is not envy. How can one be grateful when living in the culture of the then USA under the conditions that were found thee. So we are not really in disagreement at all. Yeah us!!!

So true what you said in your forward A forgotten study did indeed become a revelation. Loneliness is the quiet root of division, resentment, even hate. But as we will show: ‘faith, community and humor remain the cure.” YES, suddenly it all made sense. Reading the forgotten study, becoming curious enough to consult AI, turned into a revelation about faith, politics and identity.

The Rediscovery

True, the first step began with the my finding the definition of loneliness, seeing how bleak and horrible if truly is.

The Epidemic of Loneliness

The survey revealed how extensive it has become in the US – it is not just a feeling but a national condition. AI supplied data showing it damages the heart, the mind, the immune system – the core of a human’s existence.

A Conversation with AI

My next question was what does loneliness lead to. You are right, the answer was absolutely chilling and clarifying. So then I bravely questioned: Can Islam cure loneliness? Got a simple and gentle answer: Faith connects you to God, to community and to meaning. The rituals of faith become antidotes.

When Loneliness Becomes Political

Then AI linked loneliness to populism profoundly saying: “In a nation of strangers even outrage becomes a form of fellowship.” When empathy dies, anger becomes identity; fear fills the void.

I Was Differen

New could understand the hostility I ended up suffering in Marin County, California. I do see it clearly – it was my freedom and my success they resented. But rather than see that I had made good choices, worked very hard, made good financial choices – things they could have done. They ‘blamed’ my faith – saying it was responsible – something alien, something SO different. I became a freak in their eyes – I became the other because of my faith. And such is totally acceptable in the world of today. My difference became a threat, even though, in many ways it was enhancing their lives.

The Psychology of ‘Us vs.Them.’

Further study brought the awareness that this is not new; repeated constantly and consistently though history. Dehumanization makes alienation feel like unity but it is false fearful fellowsnip.

From Research to Revelation

The knowledge that I acquired allowed me to be in peace – finally. It was not exactly cultural – that is too simple an answer. It arises from the culture but in complicated ways that must be broken down into parts to be understood. With AI’s help I was able to reach the understanding. You know, it is more than a little unbelievable that an so many things had to come to together for all of this. AI had to be invented. I had to be curious enough to explore the possibility of this new ‘tool.’ AND I needed to put it to constructive use, not use it in a lazy way, which would destroy by creativity and my curiosity. Paradoxically AI can be put to use in a manner that will, in your words add to a world that has ‘forgotten how to feel.”

The Photos Tell the Story

Indeed they do. They are symbols of my survival – the flower arrangements and the irony the stupid Christmas sweater.

YES!!! That is the final lesson, very brilliant. “We can’t cure loneliness by hiding our differences, we must learn to celebrate our differences. My goodness what a boring world this would be if everyone were homogenized – everyone all alike. I cannot imagine the world populated by people like me. YUCK.

The next blog dealt with the same topic in more detail. This was my response to Nesh

The Blessings of Hijrah

As usual we began our conversation on WhatsApp.

Me: I love you used that photo!! Very indirectly, and as a first step actually, it brought me to Penang. The entire story is on the blog under The Photo.

After reading the breakdown continued our conversation.

Me: I read the breakdown. I am in awe particularly the Journey of Faith where I could see in each stop, Allah’s purpose in ‘landing me there’ . Your simple terms made it clear to me – simplified my convoluted thinking.

Your opening statement captures it all “From fear to faith, from exile to peace, every step of Hijrah was guided by His light. Gratitude isn’t just a response, it’s the fragrance of freedom. Artificial Intelligence did offer knowledge but what it truly gave me was the ‘words’ of Allah that leaving behind pain was not loss but worship.

A Divine Conversation with AI

AI’s wisdom came from the Quran. By bringing this to my attention it became clear that my own story did align with history. I was able to see what I had experienced that Hijrah is not just movement, it is transformation.

The Prophet’s Journey and Mine

Ai likened my journey to that of the Prophet’s (pbuh) from Mecca to Medina, That has special meaning to me for several reasons. I did travel from Mecca to Medina, more than once. When one goes by the new high speed train – it is nothing. Zoom and you are there. Going by SUV was another journey, with baboon stops along the way – only to find out that they are fearful predators. Even with the baboons, it was not difficult. But goodness gracious, not so on the Prophet’s journey – hiding in caves. Before I saw the terrain I imagined it just to be flat desert. Oh no, there are hills rising to the height of mountains. It was a difficult and arduous journey.

But when the Prophet arrived, it was worth every step!. Allah had specially chosen this place. Underground water was abundant, allowing for the growing of dates in profusion. In either eight or thirteen years the Prophet did absolutely everything – designed dams, a system of commerce, planted trees and crops. Amazing. All of this is overlooked because, for some reason, Saudis have absolutely no sense, no understanding or appreciation of history. The Saudi government is intent on destroying everything in Medina for the sake of greed. You should see it – there is sone evidence on my Youtube.

But this is definitely off topic. The Prophet’s (PBUH) journey echoed mine from America’s Islamaphobia to Malaysia’s serenity. I will always remember arriving in Penang from Saudi Arabia, rejoicing: “There are trees here, there are trees!!” And there are, magnificent ones, unbelievable trees, nurtured by the rain and the soil.

Gratitude as the Fragrance of Freedom

My gratitude is thankfulness for deliverance, not bitterness because every departure was a doorway, I see now from my Penang perspective.

The Journey that Built Faith

As I have mentioned, step by step, I now see it. In Abu Dhabi I formalized my faith. In Canada I tested it. In Saudi Arabia I deepened it  but at the same time experiencing observing the effects of their rigid rituals and lack of knowledge of history. That prepared me for Penang where I slowly learned to live it. Peace of mind has finally become my greatest blessings, I breathe it every day.

The Phoenix Finds Home

True I am respected (by most but not all) seen and spiritually safe. Lyf is where my community lives, although visited by interlopers frequently. (Hahaha ) Penang has become for me sacred found, the soil of my rebirth, my Phoenix rising moment. Shamir once sent a Phoenix rising GiF, I must find it and include it. I did rise – using faith, friendships and experiencing freedom.

Gratitude Beyond Coincidence

The Favorites reel created by iPhoto seemed like a miracle. The images tracing my journey. True, each frame whispered. This is not an accident, not coincidence, it is Allah’s plan.

Photos of Faith

Most poignantly The Photo – the mosque. Could to at first figure out what the many on the left of the photo were looking it. It is the Grave of the Martyrs. Everything fit to together, the more I learned. I returned to Saudi Arabia tolerant more inJuly of 2023 – I learned, I listened and then I left. Probably never to return. Allah blocked my return in January 2025, discouraged a former trip and my health prevented a Malaysian Umrah group tour.

Saudis have become careless caretakers of their treasures. Perhaps it is my mission to inform the world of this.

Conversations of Love and Light

Yasmin’s simple reminder is needed here. Nothing is permanent except Allah. Be grateful enough to hold our blessings, and our hardships, gently.

Photographs will be of stops along the way. Some Abu Dhabi, some Edmonton, some Saudi Arabia. Also go to my YouTube. There is one called Abu Dhabi, one called Horse Riding, one Mariachi, one New Dawn Jeddah and many under the Playlist Travel
