Children Are: Expressions; Goodly Portion and Fawn Over Defined; Campaign Advice for the Biden/Warren Team; I am an Intelligent Pragmatist According to PCP; Pragmatist Defined; Thoughts of an Obituary

I used to have notebooks that were around with me and wrote significant words and expressions expressed during my days. The notebooks are with me today in my humble abode and they appear at the strangest times. This one, found this morning, written on a scratch pad. It will be the photograph on the blog. It is a beautiful saying: :Children are God’s expression of hope.” But wait until you see what is written upon. It is also a strange saying for a childless old lady to treasure, but I do think it is true. However, the “expressions of hope”need to be born into circumstances in which they can thrive, not merely survive. So there! So there! So there! It must be difficult, on the other hand, to be born into Royalty and have a role to play, The Netflix series, The Crown poignantly portrays the life of Queen Elizabeth the Second and the often lonely and secluded life she has been forced to live. But, goodness knows, she does it well. I have met members of Royalty and they were quite taken with me. It is because, Wise Man expertly opined. that I was real and I did not fawn over them. Fawn, a verb, means (of a person) give a servile display of exaggerated flattery or affection, typically in order to gain favour. It has wonderful synonyms: be sycophantic to, be servile to, curry favour with, pay court to, play up to, crawl to, creep to, ingratiate oneself with, dance attendance on, fall over oneself for, kowtow to, toady to, truckle to, bow and scrape before, grovel before, cringe before, abase oneself before;, praise, sing the praises of, praise to the skies, praise to excess, eulogize; sweet-talk, soft-soap, brown-nose, suck up to, make up to, smarm around, be all over, fall all over, butter up, lick someone’s boots, rub up the right way, lay it on thick, lay it on with a trowel; smudge to, kiss someone’s arse. Some of the synonyms, in fact most of the synonyms make me laugh. But they are most graphic and give one a sense what it must be like to be fawned over. It is not just Royalty who people grovel before, but also people of great wealth. Oh, by the way, the Royal Family I met were not the Windsors but the Royal Family of Dubai – They are many, the Sultan (aka Fazza, aka Crown Prince of Dubai) has 22 siblings. That comes from having a father who had six wives, he being the Ruler of Dubai. Of course I did meet all of the family but did meet a goodly portion. What is the meaning of a goodly portion? A goodly amount or part of something is a fairly large amount or part of it, often more than was expected. That is certainly true, they were definitely more than what was expected. Indeed, they were, but happily so.

I grow increasingly lazy with each passing day. It is impossible to imagine anyone lazier than I am at this present moment. I awoke at ten this morning and have done nothing whatsoever except begin to write this blog at 1300 (Military and UK time). I have no great, or even any, plans for the day. Five more days and this self isolation will be over but I am not altogether sure I want it to be.over with. I am most happy in my constricted environment, constricted in all ways. Not only no one seen ,not leaving my apartment for a week at a time but I no longer communicate, in any way, with people that I felt were quite necessary in my life. It has been voluntary. I am currently blessed with reliable individuals who are there for me, that has not been true for me during my lifetime. I surrounded myself with narcissistic men and women who were either jealous or misogynist. Women, by the way can be misogynists, they hate themselves and therefore hate other women, particularly ones that get more attention than they do. That is a trait of narcissists according to Wide Man who knows everything. A fine example of a narcissist is President Trump – he routinely fired any staff member that got more attention, got more of the spotlight than he did. So what does one do in such a situation? Rid yourself of those people, those narcissists. We all know, or all who read this blog know that this country needs to rid ourselves of Trump. Will this happen? Well, it could if the regular, old fashioned media would just not pay attention to him. Huge rallies will not be taken place in these troubled times. The individuals that voted for him and will continue to vote for him , are television viewers who lazily take in (mis) information. But it is not likely that this is going to happen but Biden and Warren should be thinking about how to conduct a campaign during these times. What about an amusing woman who supports them on YouTube? What about me? I have had something like a million and a half views since this blog began and a huge following in the USA according to my country by country statistics. I certainly will help out, mainly because Warren is on the ticket.

Something incredible happened just now, my phone rang. It was my Primary Care Physician
(hereinafter PCP), the man who has severed in that role for over forty years. He is the best ever, as he is a man of compassion who is also so informed and so scientific. I have an appointment next week but he is utilizing technology to ‘meet’ with his patients as well. He said that only 11,000 tests for the virus have been done in Marin County, most inadequate. We discussed the misinformation that exists and the lack of scientific evidence to support the practises in effect.
He: Alexis, you are an intelligent pragmatic
Me: I think that is the nicest thing that anyone said about me. I daily thank the positive effect you have had on my life. It is so weird, my life.
He: Why would you thank me for a weird life.?
Me: Because it is an interesting life.

The other precious comment said to me by “Wished-For Dad”, Francois Meunier:
He: Daughter, you lead such an interesting life.
Me: What a wonderful thing to say to me, I am honoured.

This is the definition of pragmatist: an advocate of the approach that evaluates theories or beliefs in terms of the success of their practical application. Pragmatic: matter-of-fact, realistic, sensible, down-to-earth, commonsensical, hard-headed, expedient, businesslike, with both/one’s feet on the ground, rational, reasonable, no-nonsense, unsentimental, Antonyms: impractical unrealistic hard-nosed, unrealistic Idealistic

One man suggested that I should write my own obituary, a brilliant suggestion actually. I am thinking of collecting all of the wonderful things said about me – for example, that I am an intelligent pragmatist and one or two poems by Fazza. .
