Looking for Relief Through Rapunzel ; Solitary Confinement in Alcatraz; Demons Can Be Good Company; In Love With Lorenzo Medici; Reciprocate Defined

To release the boredom of self quarantine I decided to take the identity of a damsel imprisoned in a tower during medieval times. COI suggested that Rapunzel might be a good role model. So, of course, I googled for more information
“Rapunzel (/rəˈpʌnzəl/; German: [ʁaˈpʊnt͡səl]) is a German fairy tale recorded by the Brothers Grimm and first published in 1812 as part of Children’s and Household Tales.[1] The Brothers Grimm’s story is an adaptation of the fairy tale Rapunzel by Friedrich Schulz (1790) that was a translation of Persinette (1698) by Charlotte-Rose de Caumont de La Force, which was itself influenced by an earlier Italian tale, Petrosinella (1634), by Giambattista Basile.[2][3][1]”
It is not all that applicable and it would be a hard act to follow. She is imprisoned in the tower and a prince hops along on a horse and spies her looking out the one window of the tower. There is no easy entrance so she puts her hair using it as a ladder while the following song is heard.
Rapunzel!
Rapunzel!
Let down your hair
That I may climb thy golden stair
The Prince falls in love with her, they escape, get married and live happily ever after.

My hair is short and I live on the third floor, there is relatively easy access and an elevator. There are many cars on the street below but no Princes on horses, nary a one, I suppose someone could fall in love with me,. I am presently single so could enter into a state of marital bliss and at live happily for at least quite some time. This exercise did serve to entertain me for at least an hour, so I guess it was worth it.

Another analogy the current living situation could be it seems like I am in Alcatraz. An analogy is , parallel, correspondence, likeness, resemblance, correlation, relation, kinship, equivalence, similitude, similarity metaphor, simile . ANTONYMS dissimilarity. I am in Alcatraz, in solitary confinement but I cannot seem to remember what crime I committed to get here.I certainly hope that it was a crime of passion, in these boring times it would be nice to think that some fun was had. A funny cartoon from The New Yorker, a woman talking on the phone: “Yeah, I am just alone with my demons but they are actually good company.” Another funny story contemplates cooling a quarantine stew – he was it is perfect for his household of five.: “me, my cat, my two porcelain dollars that began speaking to me and my one porcelain doll that his not currently speaking to me because of a misunderstanding.”

CPI report that in Vancouver the officials are gathering up the homeless and putting them in hotels for the duration of the plague and fortunately there has not been an outbreak of the virus in their midst. I have not heard of a similar plan here in San Francisco.

I wrote to inquire of the health of my Dryburgh female cousins, heard back from all of them and all are well. In the early days of the Uncle Dave book we formed the Niece’s Nexus – seven of us but we had lost touch with one another. They are scattered across Canada with one cousin living in Australia. Most are on self isolation but no one, nor any of their families are ill. Carol-Ann’s 93 year old mother is doing well. I did joke that if she lived to be one hundred. by then the Alix Residences in Malaysia would be built and we could clink glasses in celebration at the Brazen Bar. One has to have something to look forward to.

My newest passion is the Netflix series Medici – I do love that Lorenzo – not sure if the feeling is reciprocated.” [with object] respond to (a gesture or action) by making a corresponding one: the favor was reciprocated | [no object] : perhaps I was expected to reciprocate with some remark of my own.
• experience the same (love, liking, or affection) for someone as that person does for oneself: her passion for him was not reciprocated.do the same (in return), respond in kind, return the favor. Actually he is a little old for me (a change from usual habits) and, unfortunately dead.

As this blog attests I appear to have lost my zest for blogging. Not sure if this is a temporary or a permanent condition. Tune in tomorrow or the next day and I will let you know.

The card is one of my collection purchased while in London. (2014-2017)
