Hunkering Down

Surgery is looming and I have made the decision to hunker down. The meaning of such is to apply oneself seriously to a task, used in a sentence: Students hunkered down to prepare for the examinations.

So no blogging, no Instagramming, just hunkering down. I will be back, I guess, when recovered and off the pain killing drugs. I do deserve a break today, that from an old McDonald’s ad as I recall.

One of my favourite quotes from Scott Fitzgerald comes from a letter written to Zela.

He: I can’t save you, I am trying to save myself.
