Life Goes On in Other Places; Requesting A Raise in Wages; More Events We Are Actually Glad Did Not Happen; My Suggestion to the Mayor of San Francisco to End Looting and Demonstrations; Being In Some One’s Good Books and An Antonym: Puzzling Statistics Showing Country of Readers With Results Attached

Life in San Francisco is not quite going on – no concrete relief of restriction and now curfews as mentioned in yesterday’s blog. But there is some degree of great hope in other places. For example in Dubai. A very recent video is cleverly called Dubai is taking off again portrays the Sultan (aka Fazza aka The Crown Prince of Dubai) meeting and inspiring personal at the Dubai Airport. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/4SRXQQNsJ. This is in part what he said (there is was a translation, I am not suddenly fluent in Arabic. “Today, we are flying high and we are confident with our abilities as we demonstrated a distinctive experience is maintain work and productivity and tackling challenges and triumphing over crises.”On February 10th the Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan Launches New 2021 Initiative. The Ruler of Dubai not in attendance nor making the announcement. But I do have a suggestion from a humble observer. I see you out there meting and inspiring your citizens but the Ruler of Dubai seems nowhere to be found. I think you should ask for a raise. Of course I jest but it is funny, in a way.

However, it is off to amuse you through other folks humour and follow through with previous promises, This continued list from the New Yorker Humour Newsletter about Events We Are Actually glad were cancelled. .

It is now 1400, not sure what the day may hold. Two or three ideas which do not seem to be working out whatsoever. Did manage to cook and eat breakfast this morning, have not been doing that for weeks. Early morning wakening as very early bedtime. It is beginning to look rather normal outside with more traffic and people in cars with no face masks. Impossible to tell how this all will work – if one lives in a Bay Area County that has lifted home shelter but one works in San Francisco, how will this work? I wonder if the Mayor of San Francisco thought of that when she made the decision to extend home shelter in the City. It looks like she does not. I am loosing faith in the woman. It appears that Gavin Newsom should have made statewide rules rather than leave the decision up to individual counties and their health officials. The Mayor of San Francisco appears to be a worry wart. What is that? Synonyms are hand-ringer , pessimist, gloom and doomer. Antonyms are optimist and Pollyanna. The Mayor seems to have no concerns at all for the mental health of the citizens of San Francisco. She seems to be more focused on her image as a leader. She is not in my good books. Should we think that some of the restrictions will be lifted on June 15. Why would we trust her? She has failed in her word twice. She is not in my good books. If you are in someone’s bad books, they are annoyed with you. If you are in their good books, they are pleased with you. Instead of locking we citizens down because of the demonstrators and looters she should get in a vehicle with a microphone and request, even bet, the looters to stop. That would be effective it seems to me. But will she do this? Highly doubtful. Not in direct correspondence with her, but if someone reads this blog and knows her, perhaps they could suggest it.

Back to me. For reasons, undisclosed and slightly obscure I asked computer guru Chris if he would do a country by country analysis of readers of this this blog. He came up with numbers that are totally inexplicable but will be attached. First of all there is the unknown category which has never before been revealed and is huge. There are more unknowns back then no unknowns , now 1018. Then the Singapore numbers (147) boggle the mind asI have never been to Singapore and do not know a soul that lives there. Remarkably few from the UK and, of course, some individuals in lands that I have never heard of. So rather than shine the light on some mysteries and concerns it has had an opposite effect. I do laugh and remind myself not to take this so seriously. I sent the statistics off to CPI, it will be interesting to get her reaction to it all, which shall be revealed in a subsequent blog.

Country by country reader statistics are attached.
