I believe Allah (SWT) woke me for Fajr prayer. I forgot to set the alarm, woke up ‘voluntarily’ glanced at my phone, discovered it was time for prayer. It was a blessing. It was raining outside, sheets of rain glistening. What did I do? You guessed it! Took photos sending Good Morning greetings to my WhatsApers with the following caption: Good morning!! Woke to the rain remembering how the Prophet (PBUH) loved the rain. Tried special effects with my iPhone and succeeded. Alhamdulillah”
There are three ‘versions’ of the photo. All will be shown at the conclusion of the blog. Almost an immediate response from my Muslim friend, sending her photos of KL
She: This was my view drinking into the city. Do not think I have been this early. My son helped me take this pic while I was at the wheels. Alhamdulillah not caught in peak hour traffic.
Me: Wow! Alhamdulillah. Allah rewards the early riser in so many ways.
No Idea How I Do it Whatever it Is got more views than any other, 602. Who knows why? The ‘cover’ photo is rather flavorous – a great heard. 15 K poats and views. 48 percent from non-followers, 1.5 K from followers.
Sent Nesh my response to New Dawn, A New Day Here it is.
To Nesh
A New Dawn, A New Day My goodness Nesh, seventeen swipes. HELP
As usual I loved the chosen photo. It was not mine, but an excellent choice nonetheless Hahaha. Definitely it is true, every ending holds another sunrise. One can then appreciate, rather than mourn endings. Filming the children’s tory did indeed remind me of how much beauty there is in knowledge and how faith gives it direction. “Alhamdulillah for good people, good skies and days that begin in peace.”
My good morning photo was indeed last night’s sunset which makes the end of a day ‘filled with laughter, Quran recitation and gratitude.
Reflections Shared
You captured my sense of awe in simple exchanges, light, color, mercy that serve as reminders of Allah’s power and mercy.
Returning to Dryburgh Abbey
A wipe and one sees the found photo which reminded me of the fictional wedding. I must go back and find it amongst my blog posts, I do recall it is hilariously funny. If I am able to retrieve the story I will tell the world what inspired it. Hahahah
Gratitude and Closure
Yes looking back at old chapters in my life with peace and not pain is an enormous relief. Perhaps I will get inspired – seeing that some chapters made a complete book which may be closed
Filming with Shamir
Indeed, laughter is the best soundtrack. We definitely have our differences but laughter pacifies the anger. Laughter and multiple GIFs
Bedtime Stories by the Water
Indeed the book is remarkable; science, faith and love blended for children. I would only amend as follows. Beauty and Knowledge not only can coexist – must and does coexist.
Lessons from Nurturing Emotional Intelligence
You simplified beautifully a very complex theroryL “Conection with Him comes first; only then do the rest o our needs fall into place.”
Gratitude as a Way of Living
Quoting the Quranic verse, the very best way to begin. I am often grateful for everything, even what seems like a hardship. One must have an ending to have a new beginning.
More swipes brought and then the conclusion which again says it all. “From Dryburgh Abbey’s ruins to Penang’s sunrise skies, I feel reborn in gratitude.. AND then this sentence. “Photos, sunrises, my batik dress, and Dryburgh abbey, where truth and peace both rest quietly”
Back to the Events of Yesterday
I did write, prior to Dr. Lee’s visit the following: I am convinced that Dr. Lee will bring an accurate diagnosis, help and good cheer. I am happy to report that he did all three. This a secret not revealed before, but shared with Dr. Lee. I called in Artificial Intelligence to assist my knowledge and understanding and speak of matters not considered by the doctor at the hospital. I first asked about irritable bowel syndrome and then questioned other causes of a significant drop in hemoglobin level.s Showed AI’s findings to Dr. Lee – he knew more than AI but AI was on the right track, that is for sure. To make a long diagnosis short (hahaha) there could be other causes, the can be investigated prior to the most invasive procedure – one I cal the Proctoscope Invasion. For other reasons the colonoscopy is being ‘postponed’.
I do feel blessed. It is important to get a second opinion, as they call it. With AI – guess I got a third opinion. Hahaha
This I find funny, but everyone knows I have a strange sense of humor. I Googled ‘second option’ and guess who answered?? AI of course.
A second opinion is when you seek a fresh evaluation, diagnosis, or advice from another qualified professional, such as a doctor or financial expert, to confirm or challenge an initial judgment. People often pursue second opinions for significant issues like medical diagnoses or major financial decisions to gain more information, explore alternative options, and make a more confident and informed choice about their path forward.
AI even tells us why people get second opinions.
Why people get second opinions:
- Confirmation: To verify that the first doctor’s diagnosis or treatment plan is correct.
- Doubt: When you don’t agree with the initial diagnosis or treatment options.
- Information: To learn more about a condition or disease.
- Options: To explore alternative treatments or approaches.
- Confidence: To feel more assured and confident in the decision-making process.
- Accuracy: To account for potential errors, as diagnostic errors can occur, especially with complex conditions.
I will tell you this – AI is totally correct on all counts. Thank goodness I had the resources to get a real one, not just an AI one. Hahahaha
This morning found the hotel in seeming chaos. There was a group event – it seemed that tens, if not hundreds, of people had invaded my home without permission. Furniture moved about, nothing where it should and folk wandering about or clustered in groups. I escaped to my room. Fortunately I had lunch plans. I grabbed a GRAB and off I went. Conversed with Shamir during the trip.
Me: I am in GRAB with a deaf driver. Things like this only happen o me.
He: A deaf driver and the loudest laugher in Malaysia makes a perfect combination.
Me: (laughing) Shut up. It is funny – so improbable.
What’s a man to do? Send a GIF of course. He did .

It seemed to take forever (and a day) to reach the destination. Had no idea, whatsoever, where Kazumasa Restaurant was.. My dear friend Alice switched venues, no longer at the nearby Japanese Restaurant I frequented regularly. She had quit, the prior restaurant compassionately gave me her her WhatsApp number. She met me once for brunch but this was to be a new adventure.
Finally, and at last, I arrived, sent Shamir a photo of the sushi bar place setting. Beautiful and elegant.
Me: Alice has definitely upgraded. The best Japanese Restaurant I have EVErR been in.
Indeed it was, in every way. I love sushi bars, where one chats with the sushi chef, discovering what is fresh, getting recommendations and learning of the sushi chef’s training. . Sam, the sushi chef, proved to be an amazing man. Originally from Penang, he trained in Japan, then worked for Marriott in some unlikely locales, including San Antonio, Texas but then on Bermuda Island, which he loved. He returned to Penang, being on an island his idea of heavan. The fish was so fresh a dry aged negri selection chosen by Sam. I should have taken a photo of it, I was too busy eating it I guess. Perfect – everything ideal. Alice and I had a great visit Lunches are not busy so I can come back again, and again, for a repeat performance. I am definitely going to become a regular. Alice said we had lost contact for twelve weeks. We will make up for it. Hahaha She later sent a text.
She: Glad to see you and you look great.
Me: It was so blessed be with you AND Sam Hahaha
She: ❤️

Penang is beginning to seem more and more like home, the place I am destined to be, unlikely has that may seem This morning I I opened a text message sent by one of my WhatsAppers during the night. http://vt.tiktok.com/ZSUYA9NbM/ with the message, Love his song for you.
Me: I absolutely love this song. I was just thinking of how Penang seems like home and then you send this. Alhamdulillah
This morning I awoke to see condensation on the window by my bed. Took a photo – it is VERY abstract Decided that this could be an adventure in photography. It was!! You shall soon see it, planning to send it to my WhatsAppers. I an in the background, looks like I am being hidden by a veil. This imagery is mentioned often in the Quran.
Photos of the early morning rain, my Muslim friends photo of KL, the place setting at Kazumasa and the surrealistic photo of this morning.
