I was thinking of my fall of six nights ago, remembering it, the pain, the fear I would keep falling and be bed ridden for the rest of my life. Now I focus upon the incredible support and caring received by so many. The fall will change my life, in good ways. I am grateful to Allah (SWT) because it will change my life in good ways. Ways that will keep me on the Straight Path, I was taking a detour. I can see that now. I have repented for my sins AND my heedlessness. It was life-changing, Three words came to mind – After the Fall. Looking for meaning asked Google – not Artificial Intelligence.
This is the passage which inspired me. “This moment is a reminder that God’s love does not waiver. Despite Adam and Eve’s disobedience, He provided for them, guided them, and began the plan of salvation that would restore humanity to Him. The story of the fall teaches us that God’s love and compassion remain steadfast.”
Artificial Intelligence was the primary and first resource, ignored ITs ‘wisdom’altogether.
The fall refers to Adam and Eve getting kicked out of Paradise, because they disobeyed a simple instruction of Allah (SWT). They were not to even go near the tree but Satan came about and tempted them – not her but THEM. Adam repented on behalf of the two of them,The Islamic Faith, the Quran puts the responsibility upon Adam but the Christians blame Eve for it all and speak of Original Sin which haunts us and is responsible for the subjugation of women since that time. I spoke of it on April 12, 2022 with this title.
Implications Arising From Judaeo Christian Portrayal of Eve; Implications Defined; Jews and Christians Denigrate All Women and Their Daughters Even to This Generation; Examples Provided; The Qur’an Respects and Worships Women; An Interview Featuring Anita Hill Reveals That the Judaeo Christian Denigration of Eve Continues; I Rest My Case: Prior and Relevant Blogs Made Easy
This is how the blog goes. It is a long read, but worth it in my humble opinion.
“So what are the consequences, the ramifications and the effect of portraying Eve as a temptress, a seducer, a deceiver.? That image has had “an extremely negative impact throughout the Judeo-Christian tradition” and even until today as shall be shown through the words and wisdom of Anita Hill. Women inherited Eve’s guilt and guile, therefore they were untrustworthy, morally inferior and wicked.
Dr. Azmeen examined the writing of the most import Jews and Christians of that time and all time. He begins with the Old Testament: “I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snake, whose heart isa trap and who cans are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner, she will ensnare…while I was still searching but not finding. I found one upright man among a thousand, but not one upright woman among them all.” (Ecclesiastes 7:26-28) The Catholic Bible reads: No wickedness comes anywhere near the wickedness of a woman…She began with a woman and thanks to her we all must die.” “Jewish Rabbis listed nine curses inflicted on women a a result of the fall: To the woman He gave nine curses and death; the burden of he blood of mensuration and the blood of virginity; the burden of pregnancy; the burden of childbirth; the burden of bringing up children; her head is covered as one in mourning; she pierces her ear like a germane slave or slave girl who serves her master; she is not to be believed as a witness and after everything-death.2” To the present day, orthodox Jewish men in their daily morning prayer recite “Blessed by God King of the universe that Thous has not made me a woman” But if you think that is bad, wait until you hear this. “The Biblical Eve has played a flat bigger role in Christianity than Judaism.” She is pivotal because Jesus Chris came to Earth because of this ‘original sin’ and in order to purify human beings God had to sacrifice Jesus, whom they consider the Son of God on the cross. In all of my days could never understand that Christ somehow died for my (and others) sins – did not make any sense to me. During my long conversation with an Islamic scholar preparatory to my becoming a Muslim, he admitted that he did not either. That an the Trinity is a total mystery to all clear thinking individuals, as I see it So Eve makes a mistake, she then responsible for her husband’s sin, the original sin of all of humanity and the death of the Son of God. Even acting on her own did all of that – she is responsible for the fall of humanity. That looks, smells and acts like b.s. to me and it goes on and on. This from St. Paul in the New Testament: “A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I don’t permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one denied, it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner” (I Timothy 2: 11-14) St. Terrulian was even harder on poor Eve and so St. Augustine,. St Thomas Aquinas, centuries later, found woman as defective. In case you Protestants are feeling self righteous, renowned reformed Martin Luther. He was all into having women bringing as many kids into the world with no regard to the side effects: “If they become tired or even die, that does not matter. Let them die in childbirth, that’s why they are there.”
The Qur’an tells a different story. “For Muslim men and women, for believing men and woman, for devout men and women, for true men and woman, for men and woman who are patient, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity. For men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chatty, and for men and women who engage much in Allah’s praise—For them all has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward (33:35) This another passage in the Qur’an. And their lord answered them. Truly I will never cause to be lost the work of any of you. Be you a male or female, you are members of one another. (3:195) Other examples may be found at (9:71) (40:40) and (16.97) The Qur’an sees men and women as equal. It never says that the woman is the devil’s gateway or that she is a deceiver. The Qur’an NEVER says that no upright women ever existed. To the absolute contrary the Qur’an urges both men and women to follow the example of ideal women such as the Virgin Mary and the Pharaoh’s wife. Please see (66: 11-13).”
I was a student feminist back then in April of 2022. I have somewhat mellowed out, particularly after the fall. As I said, my life has changed in many ways. The word that I shall employ to explain: subculture. Defined as a cultural group within a larger culture, often having beliefs or interests at variance with those of the larger culture. There are no entries under Thesaurus but a lengthly, and I do mean lengthly, treatise found on Wikipedia beginning in the following fashion
This from Wikipedia. The Oxford English Dictionary defines subculture, in regards to sociological and cultural anthropology, as “an identifiable subgroup within a society or group of people, esp. one characterized by beliefs or interests at variance with those of the larger group; the distinctive ideas, practices, or way of life of such a subgroup.”[2] Some subcultures are formed by members with characteristics or preferences that differ from the majority of society….. Wikipedia goes on endlessly. Much knowledge can be gained by reading through it – but it seems a miracle that you are reading this blog, much less other sources. Hahahaha
My subculture has, as its members, most residing in, or near, Penang. What is most unusual, (given that I am a five and a half year old Muslim) is that almost all members of this group are Malay Chinese. Sandman, my chauffer and companion is a Muslim, and there are Muslims who are employees at Lyf but that is about it.
I shall first speak of my Mojo family. I am the grandmother with a growing family. All of these energetic, caring, amusing, efficient and blessed grandkids are Chinese. Over the weeks since my return from KL to Penang we have formed a family. My Chinese family, consists of two men, and three women. All are my Honorary Family. Mojo is run so efficiently, it is functional. My ‘real’ family put the dys in functional. Hahaha. You shall see their photographs at the conclusion of the blog. In order of ‘birth’ there is Chef Grandson Cole, then Granddaughter Sara, Grandson Jack, Granddaughter Ciara and last, but not least, Granddaughter Sabene. These are not their real names, but family names. They all love being my grandchildren. They call me Ahman, which is either Malay or Chinese, do not know which one. Sometimes Grandson Jack calls me Grandma. So I answer to that. The family has two pets (both men) Harry (a Persian cat) he has the greatest hair, ) and Ishi, my beloved Siamese cat.
Occasionally they need to be disciplined. Grandson Cole demanded pocket money saying it should be given to him by matter of right. Me: “No Grandson Cole you have to earn it in this family. He and everyone just laughed.” All work in the building – we have family dinners and family lunches – which I pay for of course.
They work so well together, it is blessing to observe. They work as a team, a well oiled machine! So helpful and caring are they to me. They ordered sparkling tea which I drink instead of wine. I shall include a photo of the bottle. I have no idea where, or how they purchased it.
I will be making Lyf Penang Malaysia my home. I have what every grandmother earnestly desires, to be surrounded by their grandchildren. And better still they are self-supporting and I did not have to suffer labor pains. Hahaha
But suddenly I thought. Perhaps I am not a Grandmother. Perhaps I am a matriarch. A matriarch is a woman who is the head of a family or tribe: in some cultures the mother proceeds to the status of a matriarch OR an older woman who is powerful within a family or organization. I am both. I guess we will need a family meeting to decide what to call me. Perhaps Your Majesty. Hahahaha
Photos to follow. Granddaughter Ciara is being disciplined. Her picture will not be included.
