Do not Cry for Me Argentina Leads to Do Not Cry For Me Malaysia With Diversions for Word and Idiom Definitions; Photos of Grandson Cole’s Food Photos

It happened again. The words of a song came to mind; I could not get it out of my head. So, of course, I looked up the lyrics of the song and also looked it up in Wikipedia. I no longer rely on the services and misinformation of Artificial Intelligence. Renowned editor Sohail Nakhooda opined that my writing has improved since Gemini is no longer on my devices.

A brief diversion. What does renown mean? I called Sohail Nakooda renowned but did I know what I was talking about??? Not gonna use Gemini to find that out. I can use Dictionary on my computer. Here goes!!

I definitely am a wordsmith. Look at the synonyms: celebrated, famed, eminent, distinguished, acclaimed, illustrious, preeminent, prominent, great, esteemed, well thought of, of note, of consequence, of repute, of high standing; notable, prestigious;, fabled, legendary, on the map. The man is definitely NOT unknown, obscure, unsung. Hahahaha

Diversion done. Back to Do Not Cry for Me Argentina This is what Wikipedia has to say.

Wikipedia: The title of the song comes from an epitaph on a plaque at Eva Perón’s grave in the La Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires. The plaque was presented by the city’s taxi drivers’ union and roughly translates as: “Don’t cry for me Argentina, I remain quite near to you.”[6] Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times wrote: “For years I have wondered, during ‘Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina,’ why we were not to cry. Now I understand: We need not cry because (a) Evita got everything out of life she dreamed of, and (b) Argentina should cry for itself. Even poor Juan Peron should shed a tear or two; he is relegated…to the status of a ‘walker,’ a presentable man who adorns the arm of a rich and powerful woman as a human fashion accessory.”[7] The song’s lyrics are a “string of meaningless platitudes” according to Rice, who felt that it worked as an emotionally intense but empty speech by a “megalomaniac woman” trying to win the favor of the Argentines. It features the lyrics “And as for fortune, and as for fame / I never invited them in / Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired / They are illusion.

Finally you are going to get to read the lyrics of the song.

It won’t be easy, you’ll think it strange

When I try to explain how I feel

That I still need your love after all that I’ve done

You won’t believe me

All you will see is a girl you once knew

Although she’s dressed up to the nines

At sixes and sevens with you

I had to let it happen, I had to change

Couldn’t stay all my life down at heel

Looking out of the window, staying out of the sun

So I chose freedom

Running around, trying everything new

But nothing impressed me at all

I never expected it to

Don’t cry for me, Argentina

The truth is, I never left you

All through my wild days

My mad existence

I kept my promise

Don’t keep your distance

And as for fortune and as for fame

I never invited them in

Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired

They are illusions

They’re not the solutions they promised to be

The answer was here all the time

I love you and hope you love me

Don’t cry for me, Argentina

[CROWD]

Mmm

Mmm, mmm

Mmm, mmm

[EVA]

Don’t cry for me, Argentina

The truth is, I never left you

All through my wild days

My mad existence

I kept my promise

Don’t keep your distance

Have I said too much?

There’s nothing more I can think of to say to you

But all you have to do

Is look at me to know

That every word is true.

Upon reading the lyrics of the song it came to me. “What came to you Alexis? “ Why I am I am obsessed with the song. If I could sing (which I cannot) I would be singing Don’t Cry for Me Malaysia

I will now explain why. I do know that you are sitting on the edge of your seats. Hahahah Oops, another diversion. Sitting on the edge of your seat meaning. to remain interested and excited about something because they don’t know what’s going to happen.

Well look at these words – that is indeed me. “I had to let it happen, I had to change

Couldn’t stay all my life down at heel Looking out of the window, staying out of the sun

So I chose freedom Running around, trying everything new But nothing impressed me at all

I never expected it to.”

I got rid of husband number three and chose freedom. Freedom included going to London to live for two and a half years enabled by a student visa after applying and being accepted by the Creative Non Fiction program at London City University. The program was worthless, Julie Wheelwright the head of the program persecuted me. Every year she She apparently picked on the most creative person in the class. However, in a strange way it led to alexismcbride.com – my world famous blog. So I did get even, and on the blog. Hahaha. Living well is the best revenge.

The poignancy of the lyrics continue: “And as for fortune and as for fame

I never invited them in Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired They are illusions

They’re not the solutions they promised to be”. I never sought fame, it just came. As for the fortune, I do not make money from the blog – I have income from my retirement dollars.

Look how the song ends. “Have I said too much? There’s nothing more I can think of to say to you But all you have to do Is look at me to know That every word is true.”

There is another reason why Do Not Cry for Me Malaysia shall be applicable upon my death. I will be contributing to Malaysian charities during my lifetime. I believe in giving back. Not only that, it is my intention to follow the Straight Path to Jannah. Giving generously to charities, anonymously is the way to go. Don’t Cry for Me Malaysia as I am bound for Jannah.

Photos will include various dishes prepared by Grandson Cole, my favorite Chef.

Sent a photo to the acclaimed Sohail Nakooda

He: Wow! Looks astoundingly tasty!!

Me: You have NO idea. I laughed with Grandson Cole. “All this and you can cook too.”
