The morning of December 15,  2025 found me starring at my phone. Favorite photos pop us unsolicited every day. The one held great meaning. I used it the photo as my Good Morning Greeting to my WhatsAppers: “Good morning. An absolutely favorite picture taken at the Medina Prophet’s Mosque in December of 2023. I was living  there then and feeling like a lost child.”

Conversations  began.

Me: Unbelievable. It was taken December 15, 2023. Popped up on my phone this morning. I do think it was a message from Allah. I am not going to waste it on a Bauxite Muslim. Hahaha

You see, I do think it was a message from Allah (SWT) reminding me that I was essentially a lost child at the time and that finally, and at last, two years later I have found a home. I felt such thanks, such gratitude. Little did I know that day that I would be leaving Medina in 9 days never to return. It was not planned that way, it truly was not. First to Bahrain at the invitation of the Royal Family staying at.the Oberio Hotel where I was temporarily residing. A Sheikha was there for an Umrah trip with her charity group. She invited me to Bahrain saying a royal car would meet me. Long story short, it didn’t. She is going to be in trouble with Allah. Instead made by own reservations at the Bahrain Rex Carlton., met AMA, a Muslim man from Kohbar so spent about four months there staying at the Kohbar Hilton Garden Inn. (Not recommended) . After an utterly dreadful experience involving racial prejudice left there – eventually deciding to leave Saudi Arabia going to visit a Muslim sister, met in Medina  She lived in Penang. The name Lexis Suites lured my booking.Com reservation. Ended up staying at there six months until scabies forced my departure. My next destination was a  newly opened hotel, Lyf in Penang. Remained there until coming to KL. December has been a very busy month for me over the years, one could easily say. My Hijrah journey has been a lengthily one. I somewhat envy our Prophet (PBUH) – his journey took him from Mecca to Medina. He got to stay there until his death. An excursion to Tubak, (which I also visited)  but the army from the other side did not show up so Prophet Muhammed (PBuH) was able to return, in safety to Medina.

I am laughing as I write, seamlessly informing readers of Muslim history. This from Wikipedia.

The Hijrah[a], (Arabic: الهجرة, romanized: al-Hijrah, lit. ’migration’) also Hegira (from Medieval Latin), was the journey the Islamic prophet Muhammad and his followers took from Mecca to Medina.[3][4] The year in which the Hijrah took place is also identified as the epoch of the Lunar Hijri[b] and Solar Hijri calendars; its date equates to 16 July 622 in the Julian calendar” It has modern day applicability. If one is forced to flee to worship Allah in n safety then it is one’s hijrah. Therefore, I used the term properly. Thank you very much.

Another conversation with another man who yesterday was honored with a nickname, partially of his own making. It is BEW which stands for Bald Exceptionally Wonderful. I, in a playful mood, decided to enlarge the nickname to BEWITCHED. Bald Exceptionally Wonderful Industrious Tremendous Cautious  Humorous Educated Dapper. That is entirely too long, so it will just be BEW for short.

I had written privately to him

Me: Photo showed up on my phone, it was taken December 15, 2025. I don’t tell stories, I live him.

BEW:: u were not lost. Just hv not been found yet. 🙏🙏🙏

Me: So true exactly. Very prophetic actually. Will speak of it on my blog. But the bottom line is this . Now I have found a home with the guidance of Allah. Short and sweet.

We spoke of the use of his nickname in the blog.

Me: Oh by the way I am not going to call you by name in the blog. Just your nickname. BEW. Will say what the initials mean and that you are my friend. Except if you ant me to mention you name from time to time.

He: up to you dear, am fine.

Looked up short and sweet. “Short and sweet is an idiom meaning pleasantly brief and relevant, not long in duration or extent.” Other ways to convey the same thought are: concise, boiled down, in a nutshell, gnomic, sparing, in a few well-chosen words. Opposite?? Long,. diffuse. lengthy, verbose. This explanation is rapidly becoming verbose.

To Nixon I also added an individual message.

Me: I no longer feel like a lost child. I now have Lyf and Bamboo

He: Hahahah

I am going on ‘holiday’ back to Penang on December 21; more about that later.

To another Muslim Sister I added this

Me: I look like a lost child in my mismatched clothing. But I was covered!!! My dear!! WhenI saw the date December 15 I decided it was a message from Allah – it truly does. Saying you trusted in Me and now I have found you a home.

She: Alhamdulillah

Me: A stop on the way was Penang Lexis suites where I did go next. (After  Kohbar). I was diagnosed with scabies in December of 2024 and so to Lyf I did go. Now to KL because of an accidental meeting at Lyf.

Another Muslim Sister living in KL  wrote of my ‘waif’ photo.

She: Classic.

I then sent her a selfie.

Me: With glasses. The intellectual look at breakfast.

She: The white woman in black and white . Sorry could not help coming up with that.

Me: Hahahah You are funny Then I sent another photo. Totally black and white.

Another Muslim sister wrote seeing my orphan photo

She: Good afternoon Alexis dear. Wow so sad.

Me: But now I have a home. Allah was with me and I never lost my faith so here I am in KL

She: Alhamdulillah Aamin yarobblamin.

It does not look like I sent a Good Morning greeting to my WhatsAppers the morning of  December 16, 2025.  I received some rather disturbing news in the morning, I guess I was distracted.

But I did send a message to Nesh. Good afternoon. One year ago today I was diagnosed with scabies. They were, and are, at Penang Lexus Suites. I filmed my ‘confronting’ the Manager, he was less than helpful as the reel will reveal. I would like you to edit it and put it on YouTube.

Sent the photo to BEW

Me: So one year ago I was diagnosed with scabies. Clearly and decidedly from Penang Lexis Suites. More photos on the blog. And never reported to health authorities despite countless cases said the pharmacy across the street.

He: Smart you moved out. 👍👍👍

Me: But felt I had a responsibility to let people know through my YouTube and blog. Little kids there for a stay vacation would be infected. Not on my YouTube now but will be. Again. I am utterly serious under this veneer of fun and sociability. And dnefwmmcb?

He: Agreed my dear. 🙏🙏🙏

Me: I love 💕you see this.

He: What is dnefwmmcb

Me: Long story but while living in the Trump Hotel in Vancouver the staff saw underneath my fun and frivolity. It stands for do not ever (mess with) with Ms. McBride.

He was not responsive for a while so I wrote that he was running away scared.

He:  Worse if it was served by THE Alexis

Me: I need to get dressed and use my voucher for lunch. Probably wait until the lunch crowd leaves.

He: Smart move. Bon Appetit Madam.

The conversation went on in French. I did remind him that I was not a madam but one of the girls. Then said that I laughed at my own jokes.

I did go to lunch. Enjoyed the pizza, which shall be pictured. Met the nicest German woman here with her young son on a ‘maternity leave’.. She lives where I do, at Bamboo Hospitality.

Then I met a man extremely fit but under his baseball cap – bald. I seem to specializing in bald men these days. But here is at the absolute greatness. He is a trainer at MOVE. They are opening a new gym down the street. I will be able to go, and get a personal trainer – a handsome man who will motivate me to come and exercise. This is exactly what I need in my new home – exercises for me knee, build up my core and do something with my flabby arms which no one sees because I dress modestly. I told  Leonard  of my experiences at the Equinox gym in Vancouver where my trainer was dubbed Sir Richard of Hot. Hahaha I may have a photo of those days and will include them with my photos at the end of the blog.

Also a photo of my new screen saver – taken at the Singapore Raffles Hotel.

This is now the morn of December 17, 2025. I had a great sleep last night. Instead of a saccharine “sweet dreams” message I received this

He: Nite2 Peaceful deep sleep. 😴😴😴

It worked. I hadplagued with bad dreams, stressful nightmares. Me wandering about, lost, alone, searching. What a relief to have a peaceful deep sleep.
