I suddenly became obsessed with the words to a song, These were the words that came to find: This was the songs words: You gotta have faith, hope and charity. That’s the way to live…
Then I, as the expression goes, drew a blank.
(Drew a blank is to fail to find or remember something, Used in a sentence: She looks familiar but I’ve drawn a blank on her name. This expression alludes to drawing a lottery ticket with nothing on it (so one cannot win a prize). [ Early 1800s)
So off I go to find the rest of the words to the song. I thought it was The Bible Tells Me So but this is what AI tells me
“To find the lyrics for”The bible tells me so,” which is a line from the popular hymn “Jesus Loves Me,” you can search for “Jesus Loves Me lyrics pdf” to find PDF documents containing the full text of the hymn. Several websites, such as Ministry Spark and hymnsforworship.org, provide these lyrics in various formats, including PDF. “
I searched on my own, not relying on AI and found it. EUREKA
How does he know?)
Oh, how do I know?
(How does he know?)
Oh, how do I know?
(This is how he knows?)
[Verse 1]
Have faith, hope and charity
That’s the way to live successfully
How do I know, the Bible tells me so
(The Bible tells him)
Do good to your enemies
And the Blessed Lord you’ll surely please
How do I know, the Bible tells me so
(The Bible tells him)
[Chorus]
Don’t worry ’bout tomorrow
Just be real good today
The Lord is right beside you
He’ll guide you all the way
[Verse 2]
Have faith, hope and charity
That’s the way to live successfully
How do I know, the bible tells me so
(The Bible tells him)
So, have faith, hope and charity
That’s the way to live successfully
How do I know, the bible tells me so
(That’s how he knows it)
Do good to your enemies
And the Blessed Lord you’ll surely please
How do I know, the Bible tells me so
(That’s how he knows it)
In case any of you are wondering (which probably you are not). Eureka comes from Ancient Greek εὕρηκα (heúrēka) ‘I have found (it)’, which is the first person singular perfect indicative active of the verb εὑρίσκω heurískō ‘I find’.
So much useless information is herein provided. Hahaha
But back to the song. It is wrong. I do realize that this rhymes, Shamir and I are into rhyming for some strange reason. But to be serious again.
I know more about the Bible than most Christians. First of all, I was raised in the Protestant faith. Protestants have ready access to the Bible. I am an excellent student – went to Sunday school, joined church groups, went to church weekly. Became an atheist when 19. But later in life received a Master’s in Humanities from San Rafael Dominican University. We were required to take courses in religion focusing on the Bible. Therefore, I know about its history, the changes made during its history and the salient fact that the New Testament, any of it, until at least 100 years after the alleged death of Jesus.
I do believe that having faith, hope and charity is the way to live successfully. HOWEVER, it is the Quran that tells us that – not the Bible. And the part of being good to your enemies is sheer nonsense. The New Testament says turn the other check. The Quran does not. Turn the other cheek gets you two black eyes instead of one. Hahaha It is Allah (SWT) the believer is to please not some “lord” that tells you to get two black eyes instead of just one. Hahaha
Do not worry about tomorrow but be real good today is advise from the Quran as well. HOWEVER, the Quran tells us how to be ‘real good today’ – the Bible does not. The Quran speaks of the Way of Ease. This from the Quran.
“We will make you recite, so you will not forget, Except what Allah wills. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. And he will facilitate for you the Way of ease.
This is a beautiful sequence, for the following reason.
Allah promises to preserve the Quran in the Prophet’s heart.
Allah remind us that He knows what is hidden and what is open.
And then He assures: the path itself—the living of the Quran—is made ease.
It ties recitation and living the message together; the Quran isn’t a burden, but a facilitation toward mercy and balance.
I rest my case. That is a lawyer term which usually means
That proves my point.
I do not need to say anything more.
The evidence speaks for itself.
It is often used humorously when one feels they made the argument airtight – like dropping the mike. Hahaha
But this not what I was intending to write about today. I sent a sunrise photo to my WhatsAppers this morning with the following greeting. Good Morning. Look at this sunrise, The story of my taking the photo, and then editing it shall be blog material later in the day.
This is how it all happened. I had a troublesome night, was most restless, had bad dreams, felt deserted by Allah. I prayed during the night hours, then awoke again just before dawn. After prayer, for some reason I went to the filtered water faucet in the hallway. The window faces a different direction than the one in my room. For some reason took my iPhone with me. Got the water and then casually looked out the window. I could not believe my eyes!! There was the most beautiful sunrise. Took a photo of it – although I knew there would be severe problems, as you shall see.
Here is the original photo

Returned to my room. Drank coffee, then looked to the photo resting on my iPhone. Bravely, with a sense of hope and determination, decided to edit it using tools not successfully used before, for example an erasure tool. Then used the entire panoply of editing tools. (Panoply is a complete or impressive collection of things). After some effort I was successful. I could not believe my eyes. Neither shall you. Hahaha

Thereupon, I reluctantly got dressed and went to breakfast, I was starving. But when in the breakfast room began speaking to a young cinematographer who was on location in Penang, living in KL. We had a fabulous conversation, exchanging numbers to stay touch. FINALLY, and I do mean finally, my breakfast was conveniently delivered late and I ate. I began writing the blog.
My phone rang. It was Yasmin, She is coming to see me. I cannot believe it! She worked in her Sri Lankan brother’s store in Paradise Beach Resorts. She fashioned a beautiful dress for me from Indonesian batik and I bought more when in Jakarta. We have not seen each other in months as she was able to go to Dubai to visit her precious granddaughter and has not returned to Paradise, and shall not. I have not been back their either – nor much reason to go except to pick up supplies.
Such blessings I cannot believe.
I have learned from Nesh’s wisdom’s that it is my faith and hope in Allah that enables me to go on in laughter and connection with the good people in my life. My prayers were answered with an unexpected sunrise, which required a great deal of technical assistance. Hahaha. My ability to perform this HAD to be a gift from Allah for this special occasion. Otherwise I am hopeless.
It seems that this blog would be incomplete without a GIF or two from Shamir. I go to WhatsApp to look over the GIFs of the day.
He: Wow Can I get your autograph before you become famous. OO wait!! You are already.
Me: Exactly. Sometimes you are smarter than you look Sometimes.
He: In my dictionary sometimes is = everyday So sometimes is accurate.
Me: I am going to ask A! —follow your lead. So I did and came up with a graph that I sent to him

Me: Your word everyday never makes an appearance. I just won vocabulary of the day.
HeL Haha I was kidding and u feel for it.

Me: I think it is the other around. I did not fall for your BS. And if you are smart you will not attempt to BS me in the future. I am a very good disciplinarian. And you need it. I sent him a GIF

Not many photos today. Yasmin and I having a fabulous lunch. I am covered, with a scarf she brought me from Dubai, during her visit. She also is taking Indonesian batiks purchased in Jakarta to make me more colorful abayas and is refashioning a fancy Indian dress into something more sedate, resembling Muslim attire. Also a photo sent by a friend – sunset from a Penang ferry.
Bye for now. I’ll be seeing you. Hahaha If you are lucky
