Megan and Harry Were in Nigeria; News of Then from Their Trip and Other Nigerian News Leading to Dismay and a Gift of Knowledge From a Dear Saudi Friend Passed Onto You;  Prior Almost Clairvoyant H and M Blogs; My Destiny Becoming Clearer; Photos of My Morning Greeting and Some from the Bahrain Museum

To be totally honest (which I always am) I do receive Punch, a Nigerian online newspaper. It was therefore possible to lean that it was not a CNN rumor as but a fact. Prince Harry and wife visited Nigeria. This from the May 14, 2024 edition.

“The Duke of Sussex arrived with his wife on Friday in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, where they visited a school event on mental health, in a trip that also saw the prince meet wounded soldiers. On day three of the visit, Prince Harry and Meghan took part in a basketball event with the Giants of Africa Foundation in Lagos, an organisation that helps youth through engagement in the sport.”

The book that Prince Harry authored admitted that far from being an admirable soldier, he saw the people he killed as subhuman, animals.. The world was outraged at the time. Now he is being celebrated by the Nigerian government, meeting with wounded soldiers. .

I actually could not believe any of this, considering their previous reprehensible behavior. I guess Nigerians have no sense of history – that of the Windsor Royals anyway. The Governor spoke. His words would only make sense if he were running for election.

“Speaking earlier, Sanwo-Olu extolled Meghan’s Nigerian heritage. In a video posted on X by his Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril Gawat, the governor said knowing fully well “that Meghan has a decent percentage of Nigerian in her; we have sort of agreed that maybe that percentage should stay in Yoruba land. I can see she has been well attired and her yellow Aso Oke blends very well.”On Friday afternoon, Meghan sat at an event for women in leadership with World Trade Organisation Director, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, where the Duchess discussed her Nigerian heritage and being a role model to women.”

What is a decent percentage of Nigerian? I have no percentage of Nigerian – does that make me indecent.? I was happy to be remembered that the beautiful dress gifted to me by a leading Nigerian woman was called an Aso Oko. That wonderful woman gave me the Aso Oke fully realizing I had an indecent percentage of Nigerian corsing through my veins. Megan is a “role model to woman”??? How why can that be??? What has she done to deserve that? She acts like a victim saying she was a victim of Royal Family discrimination instead of looking at, much less admitting that,  her behavior could have caused the rejection she allegedly suffered? Is she well educated??? Charitable? Giving? Kind hearted?  Was she faithful in her first marriage? Has brought honor to her family? To any family? I recall that she repudiated her father.

The only comfort I take from this is that this is Southern Nigeria, the Christians. The Northern Nigerians are Muslims. Didn’t hear songs of praises for her from them. Punch continued its reportage.

“I want to start by saying thank you very much for just how gracious you’ve all been in welcoming my husband and I to this country,” she said to applause, before adding, “my country”.“It’s been really eye-opening and humbling to be able to know more about my heritage and to be able to know, this is just the beginning of that discovery,” she added.

How is Nigeria her country? She never lived there? Never claimed it was before, I do not think  Perhaps she is a chameleon country woman. Wherever she does, like a chameleon she changes countries. What a talent! As a refugee I could put that talent to good use.

But reading further found some relief. The couple were there for only three days, never ventured to Kano and my Aso Oko is far more attractive than her plain yellow one. . PHEW

Further reading of the May 12, 2024 edition led to the conclusion that all is not well in Kano either because of feuding between two former governors.A learned man was interviewed for Punch on the effects of the feud and other issues.

“The Director of Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies at the Bayero University, Kano State, and a keen follower of political developments in the state, Prof Habu Muhammed, speaks with IMOLEAYO OYEDEYI on the rivalry between the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, and the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, among other issues.

“Of course, it did. Firstly, they are two hefty politicians and parts of the mainstream political echelons of the state. This means if there is any conflict among them; it will affect the implementation of policies in the state. I can tell you vividly that most of the projects that were initiated under the Kwankwaso regime during its second term were abandoned by Ganduje. For example, the 40-kilometre roads in all the local governments of the state were stopped instantly.”

Lots of troubles in Nigeria, I was saddened to read.

“Generally, Nigerians are angry and frustrated by the policies of the incumbent administration. They are frustrated that whatever an average Nigerian can enjoy today to make him or her feel like a countryman or woman has been eroded. Not only that; it is the rich who are leveraging their access to the ruling government and enjoying the fruit of the labour of the masses. One thing that we need to understand is that the depreciation in the value of the naira, the fuel subsidy removal, the removal of subsidy on the electric power supply, and the removal of subsidies in some other essential and basic social amenities that the people always enjoy have made Nigerians poor and poorer by the day. As long as a country like Nigeria goes by the dictates of the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and other global financial institutions to the detriment of the masses in their countries, these kinds of situations will continue.

The worst part of it today is that the average Nigerian is in poverty and impoverished to the point where some of them cannot eat three square meals in a day.

I found this so depressing! I thought Nigeria was different and even had fantasies of going there and helping out. I wrote to a Saudi dear friend expressing my dismay over the world, the warring countries, the evil leaders, the oppressed people., the lies found on all media.

Me:Learning new stuff about Nigeria. Not good either. That is why there is a Jannah. This is a temporary test, this cruel world. I see it so clearly not.

It seems a gift send directly from Allah (SWT). He sent me this link. Read it now, please.   https://surahquran.org/english-aya-4-sora-90.html

I responded with so much gratitude. Mashallah. Alhandullilah  This says it  so perfectly. So eloquently. SO horribly. Thank you for ever. I read that all we can do on earth during out lifetime is to relieve as much suffering as we can. That is all we can hope to accomplish. If we relieve the suffering of others rather than impose it on others – we will be rewarded.

He: Take care wherever you go. You leave an unforgettable mark.

Then some private words between us. It is highly unlikely that I will ever return to KSA, We may never see one another again – in this lifetime.

Back to the mundane. My prior Meg and Harry wisdoms. January 23, 2023 blog summarized my prior ‘findings; .

Used the search engine to look back at my Meg and Harry wisdoms. January 23, 2023 the most recent. I quote from that. .”

“There was much fuss and bother and the time of H & M’s wedding. I was blog writing at the time, did remember that I was not impressed and had written about it. With joy remembered that my search engine icon was in place. I typed in Harry and Meghan and five bogs stood at attention. The May 17,2018 blog was entitled The Myth of the Royal Wedding. I now quote myself. (Does one, under that circumstance use quotes? I think I will.)

“The hills and dales are alive with the sound of music – Mendelssohn’s Wedding March anticipating the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan and it is sheer garbage meant to distract folks from the awfulness around us. Listen fellow women – there is only one Prince Harry and you do not particularly want him. His mother died when he was young and he is forever scarred. When his mother was around she was not very good at mothering because she had been abandoned herself. Diana’s mother left her, her sibs and the Earl of Spencer for some dashing foreigner (Egyptian if my memory servers me well). A man, any man, cannot meet a movie star, fall in ‘love’, start all over and live happily ever after. You cobble together a life and carry on with ongoing problems with loss and attachment. What, pray tell, does this couple have in common? Their lives could not be more different. She has to sacrifice everything for this union – her career, her home, her country and even, apparently, her charities. All of this to be a princess. Now that is well and good but look at what happened to Harry’s Mom. She was a princess and she was not happy at all – dreadfully unhappy and most of the players are the same players in Meghan’s life. They all may be royal but they are not particularly kind or motherly or empathetic. Princess Diane’s death was tragic but did occur because she was not wearing a seat belt and had bad taste in men at the end. Do let us get a grip. I also think that Prince Harry is not particularly bright and Meghan does appear to be very smart. That is not a good union – the dumb guy, smart girl scenario is fraught with difficulty, always has been and always will be. So if one is riveted to wedding news it is cheerier fodder than Trump and no gun control and mass murders but it no hope for the future of anyone – not even the happy couple. This myth of the perfect union is probably, in part, genetic but do lets look at it carefully. One cannot expect another person to make you happy – how logically can that take place? If you have to cling to something – cling to a life raft not another person.”

Looking back at this I do admit to be utterly amazed at my ability to foresee the future. Maybe I should go back to work and get paid for it?”

There is definitely a timely message for me in ALLl of this. Not to cling to another person but to follow my destiny which is becoming clearer with each passing day. My destiny seems to be attempting to relief suffering, ‘leaving an unforgettable mark wherever I may go while following the Islamic Faith religiously until I am relieved of the hardship of this life.

I leave Bahrain today. Photographs will include the morning message from my Malaysian Sister (which was passed on to two very different Muslim men) and photos from the Bahrain Museum.
